ESEIA Newsletter Summer 2022 Edition

The Summer 2022 Edition of the ESEIA Newsletter is Out Now!

Are you looking for the latest news from ESEIA? Check out the Summer 2022 edition of our quarterly newsletter.

From new projects to new partnerships, this edition brings insight into everything we have been working on over the last three months.

  • We are getting ready for a new project: ESEIA is one of the 12 partners involved in the WEFE4MED project. This project, coordinated by ESEIA member The Cyprus Institute, aims at adopting a Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems Nexus approach in the Mediterranean through a Nexus Community of Practice (NCoP) to confront the climatic and environmental challenges that societies face. We look forward to kicking it off!
  • We are exploring new pathways in bio-based systems: The ESEIA Working Group Biorefineries, Biobased Economy and Bioresource Utilisation has been working on a Marie Skłodowska-Curie – Doctoral Networks (MSCA-DN) proposal, which is due by 15 November 2022. The project proposal to be submitted for funding will focus on circular bio-based systems exploring bioresource utilisation pathways – and we can’t wait to share more about it with you soon.
  • We are setting up partnerships for upcoming events: ESEIA is teaming up with member and partner organisations in Austria, Finland, Romania and Croatia to bring RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar Series to life. From October 2022 through June 2023, we will be bringing European best practices to the forefront, comparing them with solutions forged by climate pioneers from local industry, and encouraging stakeholders to build on their knowledge of how best to decarbonise Energy-Intensive Industries (EIIs). Stay tuned for more on the upcoming seminars!
