ADENE Marks 25 Years of Energy Transformation in Portugal

ESEIA member ADENE – the Portuguese Energy Agency – is celebrating a significant milestone in 2026, marking 25 years of driving energy efficiency and sustainability across Portugal.

To commemorate this anniversary, ADENE launched “A história que escreve Energia” (The Story that Writes Energy), a publication revisiting the key moments, decisions, and protagonists that have shaped Portugal’s energy transformation over the past quarter century. The work brings together voices from across the public, private, and scientific sectors, reflecting the collective nature of the country’s energy transition journey.

In parallel, ADENE continues its commitment to the next generation of energy professionals through the 4th edition of its Summer Academy, a free programme for students exploring the themes of energy efficiency, renewables, and sustainable mobility. Registrations are open until 3 July 2026, with participation limited to 40 places.

ADENE has been a member of ESEIA since the Alliance’s early years, contributing expertise in energy certification, efficiency policy, and mobility to the European network.
