ESEIA President Brian Norton Confirmed as Keynote Speaker at the 7th ESEIA International Conference 2026
We are delighted to announce that Professor Brian Norton, President of ESEIA, Vice-President of the European Academies Science Advisory Council (EASAC), and Emeritus Professor of Solar Energy Applications at TU Dublin, will be one of the keynote speakers during the opening ceremony of the 7th ESEIA Conference – Green Energy Solutions: Current and Future Trends, hosted by LNEG in Lisbon, Portugal, from 23–25 November 2026.
Professor Brian Norton (PhD DSc DUniv(h.c.) HonFCIBSE FEI FIAE CEng MRIA) is internationally recognised for his contributions to solar energy applications, renewable energy systems, and sustainable innovation. During his active research career, he advanced clean energy technologies and their real-world implementation. His pioneering work in photovoltaics, solar thermal systems, daylighting technologies, and energy-efficient buildings influenced both research and industry worldwide.
Building on the long-standing ESEIA tradition of fostering collaboration across renewable energy disciplines and sectors, the 7th ESEIA International Conference, hosted by LNEG, will explore the latest developments in clean energy technologies and their role in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness and energy transition.
Discussions will address key European policy initiatives, including the Clean Industrial Deal, Net-Zero Industry Act, Competitiveness Compass, SET Plan Implementation Framework, and the Global Gateway Strategy. The conference will provide a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration across research, industry, policy, and innovation communities.
