TU Dublin Develops New Architecture, Construction and Engineering Education Facility

The Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) is building a Centre of Excellence for Architecture, Construction and Engineering (AEC) education and research in Ireland called Design + Construct.

The new facility will serve as a collaborative and transdisciplinary learning environment, bringing together students, academic researchers and other stakeholders to tackle the key challenges and promote sustainable and digital-first practices in the construction industry. It will provide upskilling workshops, state-of-the-art equipment, spaces for building performance testing, an “Innovation Showcase,” BIM and VR studios, off-site testing for digital production and manufacturing, as well as Maker Spaces for the local community and school outreach.

As one of Ireland’s largest education and skills development providers in the AEC sector, TU Dublin is committed to supporting future talent by providing spaces such as Design + Construct to advance sustainability and digitalisation across the construction industry.
