The RE4Industry Project Holds its 4th General Assembly Meeting in Greece

On 21-22 September 2022, the RE4Industry project consortium gathered in Arachova, Greece, for the 4th General Assembly meeting.

During the two-day event, all 11 partners were able to meet in person and discuss the project’s progress so far, as well as plans for the coming months.

Among the recent results mentioned at the General Assembly meeting was the collaboration with two other European projects – CORALIS and SHIP2FAIR – to facilitate the transition to the adoption of renewables across energy-intensive industries (EIIs).

In addition to cross-border knowledge transfer through four seminars, another focus of the project in the coming months will be showcasing success cases as inspirational examples for the energy transition in EIIs. Click here to view the recently-published project progress leaflet!

The partners also had the opportunity to visit the Milaki Plant, a cement production plant owned by HERACLES Group, and gain insight into how it is integrating renewable energy sources into the industrial processes.

Do you want to learn more about the project or the future of EIIs? We invite you to join us at the first RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar in Graz, Austria, on 21 October 2022. Check out the programme and reserve your seat (on-site or online)!

RE4Industry at a glance

RE4Industry facilitates for the energy intensive industry sector in Europe a smooth and more secure transition to the adoption of renewable energies in their production processes and facilities. The project guides the EIIs and their organisations in their path for a total decarbonisation towards 2050 by providing vision and guidance to establish their long-term strategy for a coherent and more secure retrofitting and integration of current and future renewable energy solutions in their facilities and processes. More information about the project is available here.
