Open call for EU Young Leaders’ visit to The People’s Republic of China
The Confucius Institute at the University of Graz (AT) and the Institute Headquarters (Hanban) China are calling for young leaders in the fields of economy, politics, science and technology, society and media within the EU to participate in the top class project “1st Belt & Road – EU Young Leaders’ Visit to The People’s Republic of China”.
Young Leaders of the 28 EU countries under or up to the age of 40 with citizenship of an EU member state are encourage to apply for the program. One man and one woman in the visiting group should represent each EU member country and he/she should be part of an elite circle in politics, business, academic circle, media or society. Austria, as the organizing country, will have two additional participants.
Carrying out dialogues and building bilateral cooperation between China and Europe are the base for mutual development and benefit, and the challenge rely now on the young leaders from both sides. The EU Young Leadership Program in China aims to strength these networks by founding the Global Young Leader Union (GYLU) in Graz (AT) to discuss the future development of the world, and to set up the first Global Young Leaders Conference in 2020 in Graz.
Deadline and dates:
- Call ends on May 17, 2019
- Program starts on September 1, 2019
- and ends on September 14/15, 2019
The young leaders’ only pay their travel tickets, the other cost (including accommodation, meals, local transport, entrance tickets, tour guides, cultural and business programs, etc.) is taken care of by the programme.
