UCC Rector Michael Murphy appointed new President of the EUA
The University College Cork (IR) Rector and eseia Member Michael Murphy has been elected President of the European University Association EUA on 11 April 2019.
Murphy has been a member of the EUA Board since 2017 as well as Chair of the EUA Learning and Teaching Steering Committee. As President of the UCC, Michael Murphy also has represented UCC in the extended network of eseia member organisations in the field of Sustainable Energy Systems since 2016.
The EUA President serves a four-year term and presides over the EUA Board, which is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the Association’s policy and the planning of its activities.
