DTU Opens Up for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching

As part of its commitment to harnessing the power of technology for the benefit of society and providing premier engineering education in Europe, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) has announced the decision to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching and exams.

This strategic decision to expand and use AI more systematically aims to equip students with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digitalised world. However, the integration of AI into teaching and examination processes by the end of 2024 presents both an opportunity and a challenge for students and teachers at DTU. While students are encouraged to leverage the new technology with academic integrity, teachers are now faced with the task of adjusting their teaching and criteria for assessing students’ assignments.

To help navigate the evolving landscape of higher education, DTU has prepared a guide for teachers and students on the use of AI, emphasising adherence to DTU’s honour code. You can read more about AI at DTU here.
