European Elections 2024

The political landscape in Europe is set to undergo a significant transformation as EU citizens are getting ready to vote on 6-9 June 2024 in the elections for the European Parliament.

Held every five years, the European elections represent an opportunity for voters to shape the future of the EU and ensure that their voices are heard by electing their representatives as Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) who, together with representatives of the governments of EU countries, prepare and adopt new laws that affect everyone. In 2024, a total of 720 MEPs will be elected to represent the interests of citizens from each EU country at the European level.

In this year’s European elections, voting takes place over three days, as different EU member states will hold the vote on different days, and EU citizens can choose to vote in the country of their nationality or their country of residence. The election results will be reported live on election results website here.
