Conference for Sustainable Energy (CSE 2026) Announces Extended Full Paper Submission Deadline

Researchers, academics and industry professionals now have additional time to submit their work to the 8th Conference for Sustainable Energy – CSE 2026, as the deadline for full paper submissions has been extended to 31 July 2026. The conference will take place on 29–31 October 2026 at Transilvania University of Brasov  – UNITBV, Romania, under the main theme “Energy Communities.”

Organised by the Renewable Energy Systems and Recycling Research Centre at Transilvania University of Brasov, an ESEIA member organisation, the conference is held under the aegis of the European Sustainable Energy Innovation Alliance – ESEIA, together with the Renewable Energy Commission of the Romanian Academy, the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences, the Green Energy Hub of the Universitas Montium Alliance, and IFToMM’s Technical Committee for Sustainable Energy Systems.

ESEIA President Prof. Brian Norton and ESEIA Director Brigitte Hasewend are among the plenary speakers, together with internationally recognised experts from academia and research, including Prof. Soteris Kalogirou from the Cyprus University of Technology, highlighting the conference’s strong international dimension and its focus on advancing sustainable energy research and innovation.

CSE 2026 will bring together professors, researchers, scientists, industry experts and doctoral students to present and discuss the latest developments in renewable energy systems, sustainable technologies and energy communities. Conference topics include energy-efficient built environments, solar thermal, geothermal and biomass systems, photovoltaic, wind and micro-hydro technologies, hydrogen and hybrid energy systems, sustainable mobility, artificial intelligence, education and policies for energy communities.

Accepted papers will undergo international peer review and will be published in the Springer Proceedings in Energy series. Selected papers may also be invited for publication in leading Clarivate-indexed journals, including Renewable Energy and the Environmental Engineering and Management Journal.

ESEIA encourages its members, partners and the wider sustainable energy community to take advantage of the extended submission deadline and contribute to one of the leading international forums dedicated to sustainable energy research.
