ADENE Hosts Summer School Aimed at Increasing Energy Literacy Among Students

From 21 August to 6 September 2023, ADENE – Agência para a Energia opened its doors to students at different educational levels by hosting a Summer School dedicated to exploring the energy sector in Portugal.

Aimed to promote energy literacy, the Summer School was tailored to different target groups – middle school, high school, and university students – offering them an opportunity to engage in theoretical and practical sessions and enhance their understanding of energy-related concepts and ADENE’s role in the energy sector. Moreover, the students had the opportunity to interact with energy professionals from ADENE and other organisations and visit different facilities in Lisbon, further enriching their experience.

The Summer School was organised as part of another initiative carried out by ADENE called The Energy Route, designed to provide education and training sessions to consumers and companies to foster a better understanding of the impact of climate change and encourage low-carbon behaviour and lifestyle.
