Savonia UAS Launches Energy Consumption Data Analyst Tool to Support Smarter Energy Management
ESEIA member Savonia University of Applied Sciences has introduced a new applied tool to advance energy efficiency work: the Energy Consumption Data Analyst. Announced in May 2026, the tool is designed to put smarter energy insights directly in the hands of practitioners, organisations, and students working on energy monitoring and efficiency challenges.
The launch is the latest output from Savonia’s Energy Research Centre at the Varkaus campus, one of Finland’s most established applied research hubs in environmentally friendly combustion and energy production technologies. The centre combines applied research with close industry collaboration, operating within the broader Machinery and Energy focus area that positions Savonia as a key contributor to the regional energy innovation ecosystem of North Savo.
The Energy Consumption Data Analyst tool reflects the growing need for accessible, data-driven approaches to energy management — a priority across both the private sector and public institutions as organisations work to meet decarbonisation targets and improve resource efficiency. By making analytical capability more readily available, Savonia continues to bridge the gap between research and real-world application.
Savonia has been an ESEIA member since the Alliance’s early years, contributing expertise in energy systems, bioeconomy, and sustainable engineering to the European network.
