Welcome to Two New Member Organisations
Two distinguished institutions will join ESEIA’s growing alliance of sustainable energy innovators: Ulster University, Belfast School of Architecture and the Built Environment, UK, and UKIM FEEIT – Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEEIT), Republic of North Macedonia.
Ulster University, Belfast School of Architecture and the Built Environment (UK) adds world-leading expertise in sustainable design, energy efficiency, alternative energy systems, and hydrogen safety, further strengthening ESEIA’s network with a strong UK partner actively engaged in applied research and innovation.
UKIM FEEIT – Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (MK), a key institution from a Widening country, brings a strong focus on digitalisation and energy decarbonisation, runs 10+ R&I projects annually, and is actively involved in major European programmes including Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and Interreg.
Their membership reinforces ESEIA’s strategic commitment to broadening excellence, strengthening European research integration, and accelerating the transition to sustainable, climate-neutral energy systems, particularly by engaging Widening countries and adding top-level UK expertise to the Alliance’s multidisciplinary network.
We look forward to productive cooperation with both teams and to developing new initiatives that advance sustainable energy research, education, and innovation across Europe.
In 2026, ESEIA will be composed of 22 member organisations from 13 European countries, representing 15 higher education institutions, 4 research organisations, and 3 businesses.
