Save the Date: Research & Innovation Week 2024

The Research and Innovation Week (R&I Week) is a series of events organised by the European Commission and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU taking place 18-21 March 2024 in Tour & Taxis, in Brussels.

The R&I Week will celebrate 40 years of Research and Innovation Framework Programmes and will incorporate three events: the European Innovation Council (EIC) Summit 2024; the Innovation Procurement Conference by the Belgian Presidency; and, finally, the European R&I Days 2024. In these events, policymakers, researchers, innovators, and other stakeholders will have the opportunity to network, participate in debates regarding the future of R&I, and contribute to the EU’s political priorities.

A joint opening of the R&I Week will take place on the first day of the event. Day 2 will be dedicated to EIC beneficiaries, providing participants with the opportunity to attend different workshops and network, as well as to the kick-off of the two-day Belgian Presidency Conference on Innovation Procurement. The conference will provide a forum for the EU Presidency to share the experiences of the Programme for Innovation Procurement (PIP) with the rest of Europe after 7 years of its implementation, and other stakeholders’ experiences with innovation procurement. Finally, on 20-21 March, the European Commission’s fifth edition of the R&I Days will take place, where the participants will have the chance to learn about and discover EU-funded R&I projects, Horizon Europe, and many other topics.
