Save the date: 7th ESEIA International Conference 2026

ESEIA is pleased to announce the 7th ESEIA International Conference, to be held on 23–25 November 2026 and hosted by LNEG – Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia, Portugal. Building on the success of previous editions, the conference will bring together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and innovators to explore the future of sustainable energy in Europe and beyond.

The upcoming edition will be shaped around the working theme “Green Energy Solutions.” The programme will highlight key topics emerging from ESEIA’s ongoing projects and strategic priorities, including sustainable aviation fuels, clean energy systems modelling, research and innovation for the triple transitions, market access for clean energy technologies, and bio-based and fabricated materials for the construction sector. Cross-cutting dimensions such as governance, business models, regulatory innovation, partnerships, and capacity-building will be reflected throughout the sessions. Participants will also have the opportunity to join a technical visit to one of the largest algae production facilities in Europe.

The conference will include opportunities for ESEIA Working Groups, project teams, and business stakeholders to meet, alongside potential exhibitions and start-up showcases. As in previous years, the event will run back-to-back with the ESEIA General Assembly, reinforcing collaboration across the Alliance.
