The first half of 2023 has been an eventful time for ESEIA, filled with exciting activities and initiatives that have strengthened the cooperation with our members, partners, and the general public. Here is a sneak peek at what you will find in this edition.

  • We completed the RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar Series: The four seminars held in Austria, Finland, Romania, and Croatia, as part of the Horizon 2020-funded project RE4Industry served as the platform to promote and discuss 100% renewable energy solutions in the industrial sector. The exchange of knowledge between academia, industry, policymakers and other key stakeholders during these events helped pave the way for a greener, sustainable future for the industrial sector in the EU.   • We fostered open dialogue on ways to achieve climate neutrality: In the past three months, the free lectures in our hybrid series hosted by the ESEIA President and Rector of TU Graz Harald Kainz, featured a diverse line-up of speakers and topics, attracting over 90 attendees from more than 10 countries in Europe and Africa.   • We initiated an exchange of ideas in view of FP10: The ESEIA Working Groups have been hard at work, with two proposals submitted and seven more currently in the making, covering a wide range of topics, from sustainable building management to green transition in Africa. Additionally, as we prepare for the next EU Framework Programme 10 (2028-2034), we have initiated the exchange of ideas among our members to strengthen collaboration and explore new research avenues.
