Are you looking for the latest news from ESEIA? Check out the Christmas 2022 edition of our quarterly newsletter.

The past three months have been a whirlwind of activity for ESEIA and our members! Here is a sneak peek at what we have been up to lately.

  • We kicked off the RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar Series: The first two RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminars, organised by ESEIA and partner organisations as part of the Horizon 2020-funded project RE4Industry, were successfully held 21 October 2022 in Graz, Austria, and 25 November 2022 in Varkaus, Finland. These two events were an excellent opportunity to bring industry representatives together with EU officials, experts and researchers from different fields to discuss how to achieve 100% renewables in energy-intensive industries (EIIs). Explore the key takeaways here.
  • We welcomed our members at the 27th General Assembly Meeting: Back-to-back with the 5th ESEIA International Conference: Towards Climate Neutral Energy Communities hosted by The Cyprus Institute 2-3 November 2022 in Nicosia, Cyprus, ESEIA held its 27th General Assembly Meeting, during which the Work Programme for 2023 was discussed and unanimously adopted. With eight project proposals submitted for Horizon Europe and other EU-funded programmes in 2022, the ESEIA Working Groups are currently planning projects with impactful outcomes! Find out more here.
  • We are ready to keep driving innovation forward: In 2022, ESEIA was proud to provide opportunities for our members to collaborate and network with other experts in their field and to support students through a wide range of learning and training events. We were also pleased to see the University of Graz launching a new master’s degree in Climate Change and Transformation Science or Energie Steiermark investing in one of the largest photovoltaic parks in Austria. As this year comes to a close, we look forward to new projects and initiatives to support the green energy transition in Europe. Check out what is coming up next here.
