Climate and Energy Science Day at TU Graz

Science shapes the future. The Climate and Energy Science Day 2021 at TU Graz took place 29 September 2021 with more than 230 participants. 

The event was hosted by TU Graz Vice-Rector Horst Bischof. eseia President Harald Kainz gave a welcome speech. Researchers from TU Graz demonstrated how they are stepping up to meet societal challenges in all disciplines with innovative technologies and helping to shape our future. The event offered keynote speeches, a mix of workshops and lectures, a panel discussion and an accompanying poster exhibition.

At the Science Day at TU Graz participants enjoyed top-notch keynote speeches. Claudia Kemfert, head of Energy, Transportation, Environment Department at the German Institute of Economic Research DIW Berlin and professor of Energy Economics and Energy Policy at Leuphana University (DE) focused on Corona and climate neutrality: ways out of the crisisViktor Hacker, head of the Working Group for Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Systems at the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technology at TU Graz (AT) presented Mobility & Production: Full energy for climate protectionDesign strategies for new materials for energy storage got addressed by Martin Wilkening, head of the Institute for Chemistry and Technology of Materials at TU Graz (AT).
