Announcing the 12th ESEIA Lecture: Energy System Modelling in EU and AU
European Sustainable Energy Innovation Alliance (ESEIA) is delighted to announce the upcoming 12th ESEIA Lecture in its renowned international series, “Sustainable Energy Innovation Systems for Climate Neutrality.” This lecture, scheduled for 5 December 2024, will be held online from 19:00 – 21:00 CET, focusing on Energy System Modelling in the EU and AU and exploring innovative approaches in sustainable energy and resource management.
Invited Lecture by:
Philippe Schild, Senior Expert, European Commission, BE
Nanko Madu, Director of Programmes, Afrilabs, NG
Response 1: Francesco Roncallo, EnGreen (EMERGE Project), IT
Smail Zouggar, UMP (EMERGE Project), MA
Response 2: Ingeborg Graabak, SINTEF, (OpenMod4Africa Project), NO
Chair: Goran Krajacic, UZagreb-FSB, HR
Host: Rector TU Graz, AT (tbc)
The lecture seeks to give an introduction to EU-Africa cooperation in research and innovation for Green transition. Two case studies, will illustrate the practical application of energy modelling to foster clean energy transitions and sustainable resource management in Africa. These projects highlight adequate tools for mapping and transforming energy systems. Through two case studies—EMERGE and OpenMod4Africa—we will showcase practical applications of energy modelling tools that effectively map and transform energy systems. These projects illustrate how data-driven approaches can guide strategic decision-making, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and support the development of resilient and sustainable energy solutions tailored to local contexts
Join us for this exceptional lecture! We invite you to register for onsite or online participation before 4 December.
