RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar Austria

21 October 2022

RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar Austria

How can Energy-Intensive Industries shift away from fossil fuel dependence?

As the need to mitigate climate change and the cost of fossil fuels grows increasingly, renewable energies become an essential driver of the shift toward a low-carbon future.

To succeed in this systemic transition, Energy-intensive Industries (EIIs), which make up more than half of the energy consumption of the EU industry, must rapidly align their growth strategy with societal needs for sustainable development and climate action. How can this transition be accomplished without jeopardizing their competitiveness or endangering essential industrial processes?

The RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar Austria aims to provide a platform to debate how EIIs can succeed in this challenge and accelerate the already ongoing shift towards renewable energy solutions initiated with the RE4Industry project, funded by the European Commission under Horizon 2020. Download our full event programme.

By bringing together experts from various backgrounds with industry representatives, the event will provide a comprehensive overview of European success cases, best practices, policy recommendations, and technological roadmaps for promoting renewable energy adoption.

The first RE4Industry Knowledge Transfer Seminar will take place in Graz, Austria on 21 October 2022. Co-organized by ESEIA, Federation of Austrian Industries Styria, Federation of Austrian Industries Carinthia, and Graz University of Technology, this event is the first of a series of knowledge transfer seminars to be held in multiple EU countries in 2022-23. The next one will be held in Varkaus, Finland on 25 November 2022.

Join us and contribute to the debate on how to decarbonise energy-intensive industry!

Registration is now open, with a remote option available as well.

About the project

RE4Industry facilitates for the energy intensive industry sector in Europe a smooth and more secure transition to the adoption of renewable energies in their production processes and facilities. The project guides the EIIs and their organisations in their path for a total decarbonisation towards 2050 by providing vision and guidance to establish their long-term strategy for a coherent and more secure retrofitting and integration of current and future renewable energy solutions in their facilities and processes. More information about the project is available here.
