Karelia UAS Engaged in Making Communities Carbon-Neutral
Karelia UAS, new Finnish member of eseia, has chosen sustainable vitality as their strategy for the near future with a special focus on the development of carbon-neutral solutions in communities. In order to implement the strategy, different project activities were developed to contribute to the creation of more sustainable products and services.
The ERDF funded project ‘Communicating Energy: New Energy Revolution and Low-Carbon Digital Services in North Karelia’ will develop carbon neutrality of energy communities and digital services in cooperation with companies. This project was launched at the beginning of 2021 and will be completed in August 2023.
This project is the first one of its kind in the North Karelia region of Finland. The project aims to promote sustainability as a strategic choice for operating businesses as well as creating an intelligent energy distribution model in the region.
